*drumroll*

Mike and I found out last night that we are expecting!!! Lily is going to be a big sister!!! We are so thrilled, and a little surprised :) But mostly THRILLED! We will find out tomorrow how far along we are (no idea!) and have more info.
It's been too long since I've posted on our blog - let's see if I can make up for 2 months of no posts...
Lily has gotten her first tooth, she's "cruising" around the furniture trying to walk, she loves real food (especially Aunt Jackie's Oven Omelets) and has been such a great baby.
Mike and I went to Idaho Falls for our five year anniversary and left Lily with Gramma Barrus, Aunt Lynsey and Great-Aunt Jackie (she did great with them, no stranger anxiety) and Mike and I had a great time getting away for a few days.
I'm sewing a lot more than normal - making baby clothes and slings and skirts. It's been a ton of fun, and great practice.
Mike has been interviewing like crazy, since he's graduating in December. He's had a few good second interviews where he's flown out to the company's offices, so we're really hopeful. I know that we've done everything we can, and now it's time for us to have faith that the Lord will make up the difference.

Butte, I missed you, but my aim's getting better

We got back to Butte and into a routine. August was such a warm month - just what I was looking for all summer! Lily and I have gone walking outside every morning, sometimes with a new friend, sometimes just by ourselves. It's been great to get out and enjoy the nice weather. Lily has gotten so mobile, I can't keep anything out of her mouth! Just today she's eaten a pad of post-it notes, a pear core she pulled out of the garbage, the holes she found in the hole-punch, and a random assortment of thread cuttings left over from sewing projects! She sure is fun though.
September started National Sewing Month. I wasn't truly aware of the "holiday", but I sure sewed a ton before I found out it was official! I pieced together the Cabin Quilt that Mike's family had organized:
...For Lily, 2 dresses, a sweater dress, the tutu in the above picture & 2 pairs of leggings:
...2 skirts for me (same pattern so I'm only posting this photo):
...2 slings (a fancy brocade and one that I don't have a picture of):

All in all a pretty great month :) I sure am feeling productive and happy to be back in my home!
